Who are we?Dusk Ronin is a World of Warcraft 25 man raiding/social guild, born over 7 years ago on the Ravencrest server. In 2009 the guild moved realm to Ragnaros which to date is our home.In Dusk Ronin our guild ethic is that we are a World of Warcraft social club. By that we mean that we pride ourselves on our social network. The average guild in WoW last between 3 to 6 months before they get into QQ's and fold, we're into our 7th year. We often meet up for IRL events throughout Europe... Quite a few of us have passed out through alcohol on many a floor throughout Europe! BUT! Having a social club is no good unless you have an aim. Our aim to to raid together as a group of people that actually like playing with each other, because we believe that if you know and like the person that you're raiding with, you'll put in a greater effort for them. What do we do?As a guild we organise and raid 25 man endgame-content on a non-PuG basis, 3 nights a week (Thursday, Sunday and Tuesday, from 20:00 till 23:00 realm time). We also encourage members to get their own groups going for content we don't actively raid on the off-nights. On raid-nights we put our game-faces on and expect raiders to have fun whilst having good and serious attempts at progression bosses, or smooth and easy sailing on farm-content. To ensure we progress as a guild we use Ventrilo voice chat communication and thus require all members to have this program installed and ready to use. To ensure fairness in loot distribution, we have the EPGP lootsystem in place. Also, officers will never prioritise for them selves, as this isn't allowed.What do we expect from members?We have a raid reward system in Dusk Ronin, where players who sign and attend most raids get awarded with rank and get bonuses like "guaranteed raid spots" for high attendance of over 70% of the published raids. The absolute minimum that we expect from our players is 33% of published raids, which works out to 1 raid per week. The average that we like to see with players is over the 50% mark, which works out to 6 raids a month. If you signed and failed to attend, you'd be marked down as a "no show" and have a negative strike against you. If you go on holiday and you let us know in advance, we'd freeze your figures until you returned. If you have an emergency, obviously we'd be sympathetic...We don't encourage "children" in this guild, so subsequently we'd say 18 years is the minimum age required, but in some circumstances we'll take in players below that age, providing that they can show a degree of maturity that is greater than their years. What can members expect from Dusk Ronin?We try to provide a steady raid-environment for mature players in a social context. This means that if you are a social and friendly player as well as a good raider, we provide 3 25 man raids a week with a high-fun, low-stress characteristic. Dusk Ronin brings the flasks and buff-foods, repairs your gear on progression fights, all you have to do is bring the player. Because we have quite a large player-base we also have all professions leveled to the max, and very, very few recipes/patterns missing. As a rule, we don't charge guild members for use fo their professional skills, except ofcourse for any costs the crafter. |
